Leon Schurgers, PhD, associate professor of biochemistry at University Maastricht and CARIM (the Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht). will address Vitamin K2 as being the key vitamin in controlling vascular calcification, via activation of vitamin K-dependent proteins such as matrix Gla protein.

Katarzyna Maresz, PhD, president of the International Science and Health Foundation, will discuss the essential role Vitamin K2 plays in children’s bone health, specifically how children have the greatest need for K vitamins and that statistics indicate that vitamin K consumption is declining in Western societies.
